Is a debate needed on McCain's rescue proposal ?

It was heartening (to me) to see John McCain proposing a rescue plan similar to mine during last presidential debate.

Any money spent on rescue should flow into the economy through the worst sufferers : The home owners.

Paulson & others who owe their careers and current positions to the private sector, are trying to save their friends first and the economy later.  George Bush, as usual doesn't have a clue as to what is happening and is repeating what is said to him by the Corporate coterie around him.

I am not sure if Obama has any better ideas either.
